The thinking of Ereignis (eventuation, propriation) is not a grand theory from Heidegger allowing an overview of everything.
Ereignis tells nothing of predictability, but tries to clear a space in thinking for the unforeseeable event-uations of history in which beyng is recast. Humans are involved in and needed for this re-casting, but they are not its sub-ject or ground or arche. Rather, subject in the sense of being subjected to.
Thus Heidegger proposes the thinking of Ereignis as preparing the ground, clearing a space, not as effecting a Big Metabole in Western history cum planetary history.
