I would like to construct a narrative hypertextual course that would support readings in any direction - though I am not so sure how successful this would be on a first reading!
Also, I try to distribute the hypertextual material in a non-chronological manner throughout.
What matters anyway is the navigation sequence: navigation tools and course system actually has twenty introduction parts, and the end of each section is the place the reader returns for the beginning screens, if he takes the default all through. It is, then, a circular structure in design.
In this new metabolean medium, I am really in the position of writing the equivalent of a "plot heavy" essay combined with a "multi-narrator" e-book.
That is, the difficulty of navigation and the complexity of the point of view mitigated against any deep main one-authoring development...
