Politics is a process by which decisions are made within people. When the world is changed into a big machine, politics utterly disappears. So action is an attempt to adjust to changes that emerge in experience; the finality of the act is the re-establishment of a sundered continuity. Since the past is instrumental in the re-establishment of continuity, the adjustment to the emergent requires the creation of a political view . By looking into the unexpected - that is logically impossible - , society acquired therefore a new sense of politics (this is the gap !). And the orientation of time entails that every new discovery, every new project, will alter our picture of the world.
