Hypertextual thinks about the unexpected. In logic, in history, in chronology.
The purpose is to demonstrate that The unexpected is NOT a simple possibility. It is nor an abstraction (rather an emotional surprise). It isn't when logic breaks down or gets encoded. It isn't when you can't understand. It is when you are surprised by an alternate logic, forced to re-understand the world. THIS is what I like that I find in all types of poetry.
